During those days while Mordecai was sitting at the King’s Gate, Bigthan and Teresh, two eunuchs who guarded the [king’s] entrance, became infuriated and tried to assassinate King Ahasuerus. When Mordecai learned of the plot, he reported it to Queen Esther, and she told the king on Mordecai’s behalf. – Esther 2:21-22
Someone once said that one of the keys to personal success is “being in the right place at the right time.” While this might be true, I would add that proper location and timing might not be enough. You also need to act!
Mordecai, Esther’s uncle, took the information he had obtained and acted upon it, which resulted in the preservation of the life of the king. Ultimately, Mordecai’s actions brought him recognition which was a key element in the preservation of the Jewish people and, like Mordecai, your life is full of amazing opportunities to serve your King. Most will go unnoticed, but not necessarily so. If you are truly the King’s servant, you will look for ways to accomplish His purposes, protect His name, and expand His Kingdom.
Be on time. Be present. Be sure to act. Your moment is surely coming.
Do you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you. – Thomas Jefferson
