The Spirit of the LORD will control you, you will prophesy with them, and you will be transformed into a different person.– 1 Samuel 10:6
Have you ever stopped to consider who you are becoming?
When I attended my 20th high school class reunion (24 years ago!) I received the “Most Changed” award, but I wasn’t offended. I needed to change and I was very happy to see that everyone could see the difference (except for the gray hair)!
Samuel once told Saul that when the Spirit of the Lord fell on him he would be transformed into a different person. It did and he was. The Spirit of the Lord changes people. In fact, it is impossible for a person to remain the same after she has been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. If a person claims to be a follower of Christ, he should even be able to observe an entire life of change. Healthy children grow up and that growth inevitably brings change. It should be no different with a Christ-follower.
Are you the same person that you were when you began to follow Christ? If so, then it is very possible that you have never followed Him at all … for we should all eventually become more like Him.
People are like dirt. They can either nourish you and help you grow as a person or they can stunt your growth and make you wilt and die. – Plato
