What is the “key” to your happiness?
For many, the key might be a full bank account, success at work, a beautiful home, good health, or a new car. For others, happiness might be found in a new relationship, fame, or a feeling that everything is in its place and life is under control.
So, what is your “key?”
It might help to ask yourself this question, “What would drive me to despair if it were taken away?” THAT, whatever “that” is, just may be your key. King David said that God put joy in his heart. His “joie de vivre,” his happiness was found solely in God and David’s relationship with Him. So, if someone took the bank account, the success, the health, the house, the car, the relationships, the fame, or the control away from you … could you, would you still find happiness in Him?
The beauty of a relationship with Christ is that, once established, it can never be taken away and it’s joy (something far greater than happiness) is yours forever.
