This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. – Genesis 6:9
Will you be the one? Among all of his contemporaries, Noah stood … blameless. He was righteous and walked with God when no one else cared to do so. Can you imagine the difficulty this presented? It appears that even Noah’s own sons did not choose to follow God. He stood absolutely, completely, alone.
I have a good friend and colleague in Africa who is one of the few followers of Christ among the nearly 6 million other members of his people group. While you may not be as ostracized as he has been at times, a biblical stance on certain issues may also find you isolated, even among those who claim a similar faith. You may be the one person who stands for Christ when all others appear to fall away.
Just remember Noah. He remained faithful for over 100 years while undoubtedly ridiculed and intimidated for his beliefs. Maybe you ARE alone, but God is using you to bear His Word and presence. Never give up! Never stop believing! God often works through the ONE!
Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex…. It takes a touch of genius – and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction. – Albert Einstein
