Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight — something the law of Moses could never do. – Acts 13:38-39
What is your life’s message? Once upon a time a very popular and successful athlete had a life message. It was, “Just Do It!” Sadly, he “did it” and his reputation was destroyed along with his family.
I am convinced that the message of a person’s life will ultimately determine the direction of that person’s life as well. The Apostle Paul told the citizens of Pisidian Antioch that one central truth was vital for their lives. This truth was that through Christ there is forgiveness of sins and salvation. Paul believed that if a person accepted this truth … this message, then that person’s life would be changed and take on a certain direction and focus.
If your life message is success, you will probably be successful, but also aimless and lost. If your life message is to be popular, then you may be popular, but also aimless and lost. HOWEVER, if the message of your life is CHRIST and His Good News, you will never be aimless or lost, but you WILL truly live.
Success demands singleness of purpose. – Vince Lombardi
