And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead — and so was Sarah’s womb. Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises. And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous. – Romans 4:19-22
Paul wrote that Abraham was “fully convinced.” Can you say the same? Where does your assurance lie? What is your basis or foundation for living?
Is it your work? In this volatile global economy, probably not.
Is it your health? That can be pretty fragile, too, huh?
How about your relationships? Sadly, sometimes faithfulness fails.
In spite of all these uncertainties, there is ONE thing we can count on … “God is able to do whatever He promises.” If you trust God and His Word, then there is no reason to worry. God is powerful enough to keep each and every one of His promises … and the greatest of these is the promise of LIFE in His Son.
Believe and Christ will make you righteous forever. Of this one thing, you may be “fully convinced!”
Faith is the confidence, the assurance, the enforcing truth, the knowing. – Robert Collier
