A Reproducible Faith

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you. – 2 Thessalonians 3:1

Is your faith reproducible? Should it BE reproduced? Please, don’t be offended. I often ask myself the same question.

Paul told the Thessalonian church to pray that the Lord’s message would spread rapidly and be honored, JUST AS WHEN IT CAME TO THEM. The old Apostle said this because he had learned of their faithfulness and fidelity to God’s truth. Could the same be said about us? Have we truly remained faithful to God’s truth?

The only true faith in Christ is that which is rooted in and saturated by God’s Word. While we may often speak of the need to reproduce our “faith,” perhaps we should be certain that the faith we are reproducing is a transforming faith in Christ alone!

To call a man evangelical who is not evangelistic is an utter contradiction. – G. Campbell Morgan
