Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined by these trials. But the wicked will continue in their wickedness, and none of them will understand. Only those who are wise will know what it means. – Daniel 12:10
Daniel, exiled in Babylon (and then Persia), received a vision from God concerning the end-times. Of course, this revelation raised a lot of personal questions, but the Angel Gabriel (who delivered the message) would not (or could not) give him all of the answers. Some things needed to remain hidden … and they remain so today.
On the other hand, some things are clear:
In the end, “many” will be purified, cleansed, and refined. They will be changed by the fiery trials they will face.
The “wicked” will act wickedly and never understand. They will resist and continue to rebel against God.
The “wise” WILL understand. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, they will discern the times and act accordingly (persevering unto the end).
We live in a fallen world. Eventually all will be made clear to those who believe in Christ Jesus. Be steadfast. Be courageous. The wise will win.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. – Abraham Lincoln
