Inherited

But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall be his until the year of liberty; then it shall return to the prince. His inheritance shall be only his sons’; it shall belong to them. – Ezekiel 46:17

The prophet Ezekiel once received a vision of the new Temple in Jerusalem as well as the return of the prince who was to live there. A portion of this revelation was given to the discussion of the rights of the prince and the question arose as to whether or not the servants would share in his inheritance. Apparently, they would not. The prince’s inheritance would only go to his sons!

Hundreds of years later, John the Apostle speaking of the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man, wrote, “He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:11-13).” The “true Light” of John’s Gospel, Chapter 1 is Jesus Christ and Jesus is the Son of God.

God, Jesus’ Father, is the King of the universe; therefore, Jesus (as His Son) is the Prince and, by faith, those who place their trust in Him are His children. Do you see it? Can you grasp it? Are you living it? THE INHERITANCE IS YOURS!

This is all the inheritance I give to my dear family. The religion of Christ will give them one which will make them rich indeed. – Patrick Henry
