Why?

But David said, “What have I done now? Was it not just a question?” – 1 Samuel 17:29

While Goliath defied the army of Israel and that army trembled in fear, David visited their camp and posed a simple question, “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine who defies the army of the living God?” Because his brothers and the other soldiers were embarrassed by his inquiry, they tried to make him leave and return back to his home. David’s reply was, “What have I done now?”

You need to know something. Sometimes your questions can be used by God to show others the disobedience and sin in their lives. At other times, your question(s) may be used by God to change a system, a program, a church, an organization, even a nation. When this happens, it is possible that you will be challenged, discredited, or even attacked.

Yet, keep asking! Do it respectfully, but please do it. Things rarely change until someone is willing to stand up, speak up, and ask, “Why?”

No revolution that has ever taken place in society can be compared to that which has been produced by the words of Jesus Christ. – Mark Hopkins
